A bit about me...

Hello! My name is James, and my Nepali name is Basanta Gurung. In this photograph, I am the one on the right.

I am a Peace Corps volunteer with Peace Corps Nepal cohort N211. My service began officially on March 24th 2026 and I will be serving a standard two year term here in Nepal. This site serves as a place to document my experience, fiddle with web development, and share with anyone who is interested to read about my experience.

I grew up in Massachusetts and have lived there for much of my life. I have many interests, and few skills. I am interested in technology, hacking culture, cultural exchange, skateboarding, punk/emo music, making friends, oxford commas, and long walks on the beach, in no particular order.
